La Palma first visit

One week on the beautiful island La Palma.

We really enjoyed the view from our spacious balcony. I choosed Hotel Sol La Pamla because it is located by the best beach in the west coast which has more sunshine hours than the east coast. The hotel has its own observatory, so do not miss to book time if you are interested in star-gazing.

Thanks Pedro, Guest Coordinator of the hotel, for nice and quick communication and for arrangement of the taxi from the airport.

Thanks Rosie, receptionist of Natour office in Puerto Naos, for your sweet smile and kind manner to help your clients finding the best suitable hikes. http://www.natour-lapalma.com/

Thanks Bernd, experienced hiker from Germany, for a very pleasent south-trip with many highlights. The salt factory, the big waves, the San Antonio volcano, the little hike by the beach.

Thanks Peter, the German instructor who has been paragliding for 27 years, for a wonderful tandemflight. You give people the opportunity of an otherwise unpossible experience, while you do what you like. http://www.palmaclub.com/

Thanks Yvan, Natour guide of The Caldera de Taburiente, for your glad leading, pedagogical speaking and helping hands.

Thanks my son, for your pleasant company among the banana plants, to the village, to the beach, in the caldera, in the waves, etc.

We could have seen more blue sky if not the sand-wind from Sahara also visited the Canary islands. But now I have learnt a new word, Calima. A tip for you who are going to La Palma for hiking in winter is to enquiry Natour about the weather/temperature on the mountains. It can snow on the mountain tops.
