Biking around 14 islands of Stockholm






















In Spring 2020, it was not recommended to take public transportation due to covid-19. I usually took walks along the lake, occasionally to the city.

In May and in June, I was happy to cycle to different places in Stockholm. Really nice. 

One evening I biked around 4 islands. There are 14 islands in Stockholm, why not bike around all the islands in one day?

On 7th July, it was nice weather and windy. I began around 4 pm and had a very plesant journey to the islands. I took my time to enjoy the beautiful views, stopped to read about interesting places, and explored how to get to the waterline at Stora Essingen. Later in the evening it began to rain. It got dark and it was windy, so I biked around 12 of the 14 islands. Not bad. 

On 10th July, it was cloudy, not much wind, a perfect day for my cycling. Begining around 2 pm, I biked around the islands of Södermalm, Gamla Stan, Skeppsholmen, Kastellholmen, Djurgården, Beckholmen, Helgeandsholmen, Strömsborg, Kungsholmen, Lilla Essingen, Stora Essingen, Riddarholmen, Långholmen, Reimersholme. I went swimming in Stora Essingen. My biking-around-14-islands-of-Stockholm trip took 7 hours in total, and was about 58 km. Well done. :-)

Z13. Ping-shuai-gong

Some weeks ago when I saw Ping-shuai-gong for the first time, I searched for information about it, and watched a couple of TV-programs in which Master Li Fengshan was interviewed. All good. I keep doing Ping-shuai-gong almost everyday since then, it is a kind of meditation for me.   

Ping-shuai-gong is really very simple. This exercise promotes Qi and blood circulation, and strengthens the immune system. It is best to practice Ping-shuai-gong for 30 minutes very day, and drink a cup of warm water before and after the exercise. According to Master Li Fengshan, who created this qigong exercise, in the first 10 minutes the blood circulates very well, in the second 10 minutes the blood begins to reach the less accessible places, in the third 10 minutes the hidden old sickness will naturally be cured, step by step. If you are not able to practice Ping-shuai-gong for 30 minutes, you can try to practice it for 10 minutes at a time and 3 times a day. 

The best exercise is the one which can active the peripheral nerves and vessels. Ping-shuai-gong is such an exercise.
