Enjoy the journey

I have encouraged my friends with my own theory: One should always be positive during the process and believe in good results. Let's say you've been on the journey and have got a result. There are four options:
1. You were happy on the journey, and got good result. All well, congratulations.
2. You were happy on the journey, and got poor result. Well, you've had a good time on the journey anyway.
3. You were sad on the journey, and got poor result. Hm, what if you had enjoyed the scenery along the way.
4. You were sad on the journey, and got good result. Isn't it a little stupid to have that unnecessory sadness?

Moreover, you would achieve higher in option 2 than option 3. A positive attitude contributes to better performance, which many studies have proved.

Tal Ben-Shahar talked also why we should enjoy the journey at "Harvard University 15 Positive Psychology 1504" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5KTG7pHqowI&t=190s

Tal defined perfectionist as an incapacitating fear of failure that permeates our lives, especially those areas that we care about most. Difference between a perfectionist and a person who committed to excellence is their attitude to failure, their approch toward the journey. Persons committed to excellence see oppotunities of success in every step, even in failure.
